Thank you for any help.
I created a virtual server subdomain and had it as a alias to the main domain for testing (the name servers still pointed to the original site on the old server). Once I had everything set up, I changed to name servers and deleted the subdomain alias. Now I can not update email users, I get the message: Failed to save mailbox : The additional email domain 'test.(original.com)' is not managed by Virtualmin
And "Checking Configuration" gives the message:
error: stat of /var/log/virtualmin/test.(original.com)_access_log failed: No such file or directory . This must be fixed, or log file rotation will not be done. .. your system is not ready for use by Virtualmin.
How can I fix this?
Tom
I fixed the log rotation problem by manually deleting the log rotation files for the subdomain. That did nothing for the "Failed to save mailbox : The additional email domain 'test.(original.com)' is not managed by Virtualmin" user saves.
Sorry for the slow reply; I just noticed this in the Virtualmin Hosting forum (which is for hosting offers, and I don't really monitor it except for keeping an eye out for spam). I've moved it to the Virtualmin category.
Hmm...sounds bug-like, and we probably want to open a ticket and get Jamie involved.
To make sure I understand what's happening here: test.original.com is the subdomain alias that has now been deleted? And original.com is the top-level virtual server? That makes it sound like deletion of the subdomain went wrong. It's still trying to do something with files related to a deleted domain, so it must still have some stuff hanging around.
So, test.original.com doesn't appear in the Virtual Servers list?
