hello - for some reason, this morning when i try to go into my centos6 virtualmin/webmin, i am allowed to log in, but after that, the screen comes up blank.
i tried /etc/init.d/webmin stop ; /etc/init.d/webmin start ;
and i also tried rebooting.
no current activity in the /var/log/virtualmin either.
note: the little bell notification icon appears and i can click on it, the gray slide-out opens up from the right (attached)
console error message: authentic.min.js?1772:6 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'contentWindow' of undefined
suggestions?

Howdy -- are you aware of any Webmin or Virtualmin changes recently?
Is that issue occurring when logging in as the root user?
Also, are you seeing any errors in /var/webmin/miniserv.error?

What output do you receive if you run these two commands:
postconf -n
rpm -qa | grep postfix

was that BEFORE or AFTER i did "yum install postfix" ?? :-) not sure why postfix mysteriously disappeared.....
and the page came back. thank you very much.
however, none of the virtual-servers are showing. i can, however, edit the first one in the list (the top one in alphabetical order)
edit - page reload fixed that.............

That is indeed odd! Are things back to normal now?

story of my life...
if by 'normal', if you mean an unexplained issue with linux every hour, yes it is normal.
I am running ubuntu 16.04 and installed webmin. At one point all the syles disapeared and nothing worked. I reinstalled webmin and that fixed the problem for a while.
Today the same thing happened after showing a warning that webmn needed upgrade. I have tried removing webmin and installing both with apt-get and --install webmin_1.890_all.deb but a get the left menus and blank main screen no matter what I click. Help would be appreciated/
I found the blank screen problem went away when I used the ip address rather than the hostname.
I am still seeing this error in the log
[26/Jul/2018:11:50:40 +0000] [72.184.221.181] Document follows : This web server is running in SSL mode. Try the URL https://45.55.135.225:10000/ instead.
I have it too since the update:
[26/Jul/2018:17:53:14 +0300] [1.2.3.4] Document follows : This web server is running in SSL mode. Try the URL https://yyyyy.ro:10000/ instead.

That message is generally safe to ignore, unless you're seeing a problem at the time it appears in the logs.
It's usually due to bots probing your server, and hitting the Webmin port using "HTTP" rather than "HTTPS".
It can also happen if a user browses to the HTTP version of the site, it'll usually end up redirecting to HTTPS on it's own. So that message can occur even if a user isn't informing you of an issue.
All that said -- if you guys don't think my explanation above is the issue, and still think there's some sort of bug that requires further attention, you may want to create a new support request to review that.
If you create a bug report for that, be sure to give some details about when you're receiving that particular message.
Thanks for answering, but andreychek that IPs is mine, obfuscated as 1.2.3.4. Pretty sure I am not a bot :) and that I accessed Webmin via https.

Understood! If you think there's an issue that needs addressed, I'd encourage you to open a bug report on the matter... then we can dig into whats going on there. Thanks!
It is working again with the domain name. A reboot seemed to fix it this time. I am concerned that webmin stopped working suddenly, losing styles, reinstalling the fist time fixed it, the second time, i got it to work with the ip address, then after another reboot it worked with the domain name again.
I am thinking that both times it broke there was more than one user using webmin at the time, possibly with the same user account. Is there an issue doing that? Since I cannot yet reproduce the error entering a bug report may not be worthwhile. I've used and loved webmin many years and never had this sort of problem before. It's unfortunate this has been happening while I am introducing webmin to others.
