Hi,
I am trying to install virtualmin via the Install Script on a clean build of Ubuntu 16.04 but am getting an error stage 22/23 on Configuring Postfix. The error I am getting is:
Error: Failed to query Postfix config command to get the current value of parameter virtual_alias_maps:
I am a little stuck in what could be causing this as it's a completely clean build of Ubuntu 16.04. I am wondering if anyone has come across this issue before with a solution?

Howdy -- what output do you receive if you run the command "postconf -n"?
And if you restart Postfix, do you see any errors listed in /var/log/mail.log?

What happens if you try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in Comment #1 above?

It looks like there's no main.cf file for Postfix.... yes, that would be a very big problem :-)
That doesn't sound like a Virtualmin bug though, something outside of Virtualmin has likely removed or renamed that file (or the Postfix package may have been removed altogether).
Since it doesn't sound like you're seeing a Virtualmin issue there, and it appears you're using Virtualmin GPL -- it's no problem to get support, but you'd want to do so using the Forums.
We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community.
My suggestion would be to start a new Forum thread, explain share the output above, along with when this issue started. Thanks!
