Contribute Documentation

Hi Virtualmin enthusiasts :)

I am interested to contribute documentation at https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation
I tried but there is no edit button. Are you interested in documentation volunteer contributions? If yes, how would you like to proceed? And who is the contact person for this?

My virtualmin.com account number is 7081 at https://www.virtualmin.com/user/7081/edit

If there is presently no workflows and permissions for documentation contribution, I suggest to consider this Drupal Workflow module. Which allows you to get contributions from volunteers to Virtualmin. While at the same time you're able to review for approval those contribution before they are publish. Think of Workflow as code versioning/Git. Optionally you can set various roles associated with publishing permissions. In turn this reduces risk of abuse.

  • Workflow module description: "Workflows are made up of workflow states. Transitions between states can be allowed per role. For example, a workflow with the states Draft, Review, and Published could be assigned to the Story node type. Only users with role 'chief editor' can set Stories to the published state."
  • Documentation.

You're welcome to let me know if you have any questions

Cheers,

Francois
