Failed to upgrade to Virtualmin Gpl to Pro

Just installed gpl version on Ubuntu 16.04 . Today I went to install the Virtualmin 10 Annual License (vm10).

Failed to upgrade to Virtualmin Pro : An error occurred connecting to the Virtualmin Pro server : Failed to lookup IP address for software.virtualmin.com

It sounds like you may be seeing a DNS issue there.

What is the output of this command:

cat /etc/resolv.conf

thank you

for this command the output like this

Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8) DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN

nameserver 127.0.1.1

Try changing that "nameserver" line to read as follows:

nameserver 127.0.0.1

After doing that, what is the output of this command:

host software.virtualmin.com

successfully upgraded to Virtualmin Pro!
