Hi,

I have installed some scripts and they dont run. The scripts are the followings

filecharger gallery phpwebsite

How can I do to fix them and running?

Howdy -- we'll likely need to go through those one at a time. What problem are you experiencing though?

For example, let's just start with the first one you mentioned, filecharger. Do you receive an error when trying to run it? If so, what error?

And what shows up in the Apache error logs, in $HOME/logs/error_log, when accessing filecharger?

In filecharger the error I receive from browser is

Error 500

For the Gallery the error from the browser is only

Gallery requires short_open_tag to be on.

The phpwebsite now is working... When I open the issue all scripts has the same error (error 500 internal error). Now I have different errors! Strange things :)

Okay, the error you shared for Filecharger helps. But, that leads me to some bad news.

After reviewing Filecharger, it looks like it hasn't been updated/maintained in quite some time. It may be 3 years old at this point.

Unfortunately, with that being the case, I'm not sure that it will work on current PHP versions. The syntax is slightly different, and it would need to be modified by the developers in order to get it working.

We'll probably remove Filecharger from our supported scripts at some point due to that, if it's not updated in the next few months.

Now, gallery should be simpler to fix, as it is still under active development. You can enable the option they're referring to be editing $HOME/etc/php.ini (that can also be done through the Virtualmin GUI). After enabling the "short_open_tag" option, does gallery work properly?

ok! I enable the "short_open_tag" option and it works properly. Please tell me something else. How can I enable this option for all domains (global not only for one domain)?

For the Filecharger, ok, there is no something urgent.

hello,

I have tried to install the roundqube script to a subdomain and I get the following error

This script cannot be installed, as this virtual server does not meet its requirements : A MySQL database is needed

Is the MySQL Database feature enabled for that particular Sub-domain? It sounds like it may not be, according to that error.

You can determine that by going into Edit Virtual Server -> Enabled Features for the Sub-Domain in question.

when I try to enable some features I get the following error

once for MySQL

Failed to modify server : A MySQL database named egme is already owned by virtual server egme.gr

once for Postgresql

Failed to modify server : A sub-server cannot have PostgreSQL enabled unless the parent server does

Hmm, what is the domain or sub-domain that you are attempting to enable the MySQL feature on?

Hmm, I logged in to review the issue, but I'm not sure I'm understanding the problem.

The domain you just mentioned, egme.gr, has the MySQL Database feature already enabled, and also has RoundCube installed into it.

Can you clarify what the problem you're experiencing is, and what domain you're having a problem with?

domain "old.egme.gr" --> Edit Virtual Server --> Enable Features

Try to enable Mysql and Postgress for example.

Okay, it required a little tweaking "under the hood", but we were able to get the MySQL database enabled for this domain.

Can you see if that's working properly for you now?

ok now with Mysql. What was the problem? Could you also enable the Postgresql because it also has a problem.

The fix I applied should also apply to PostgreSQL - do you get the same error when enabling it?

The underlying cause was some missing data in Virtualmin which will be handled properly in the next release.

The error you mentioned above regarding Postgres is just that the parent domain doesn't have Postgres enabled.

For that problem, you would first need to enable Postgres in the parent domain.
