Hello,
I have a server: elf.therestaurantmarketinginstitute.com I also use this server as elf.therestaurantmarketinginstitute.com.
Instead of having users use mail.domain.com, I have them use elf.therestaurantmarketinginstitute.com
My question, in the mx records, can I say the mail is elf.therestaurantmarketinginstitute.com, instead of mail.theirdomain.com?
Example: mail.theirdomain.com.com. IN A x.x.x.x (Where x represents an integer for IP address)
The way I wish to configure:
elf.therestaurantmarketinginstitite.com x.x.x.x theirdomain.com. IN MX 5 elf.therestaurantmarketinginstute.com.
Will this work?
Thanks in advance. Andrew

Sure, you can set default records for a domain at System Settings -> Server Templates -> Default Settings -> BIND DNS Domain. However, for MX records it doesn't really matter much - they aren't visible to users.
