Hi, I am have a problem with webmin service stopping. I am not able to see anything indicating problems in the logfiles. Where should i look for the problem? I am able to start the service /etc/init.d/webmin start and every thing is running for a couple of days and then dies again. I am running Virtualmin Pro. with all updates applied for the system.
Best regards
Sune

Howdy -- are you running on a VPS? If so, do you know what kind of VPS it is?
Also, what does this command show:
free -m

Hi, It is a VPS and I believe it is a Virtuozzo, its hosted at Hosteurope.de. Anyway here is the output of free -m
Mem: 4096 2988 1107 0 0 0 -/+ buffers/cache: 2988 1107 Swap: 4096 0 4095

Your RAM there looks good.
Do you have the file /proc/user_beancounters?
If so, can you paste in the contents of that file?

Okay, it looks like you're running into some resource limits there.
It looks like you're bumping into limits with privvmpages, which is a RAM related limit -- and that could be the cause of Webmin/Virtualmin dieing (amongst other things).
You also seem to be hitting some network related limits, which could cause intermittent connectivity issues.
Anywhere you see the "failcnt" column have a non-0 number, there's a problem of some sort.
You may want to talk to your provider about increasing those limits.

I have decieded to move to a dedicated server instead of VPS. So this case is closed for now.
