I installed a new virtual machine with a fresh Ubuntu 10.04, one eth was active during installation.
Then I added a second eth and am trying to configure that through Webmin.
I go to Networking -> Network Configuration -> "Activated at Boot" and click "Add a new interface". I fill in the form, "eth1" and IP address "10.10.0.2", and click "Create".
Error message: "Failed to save interface : An existing Ethernet interface must be selected for this bridge to use"
But I was not trying to create a bridge...

That does look like a bug ... is this system running Webmin 1.560, or 1.570 ?

For this report it's 1.570 (freshly installed and stuff).
But I vaguely recall having had this issue a while before already, when I think 1.570 was not out, so it should have been present in earlier versions too. Not 100% sure about that though.

Ok, I see the bug that causes this. The work-around till the next Webmin release (1.580) is to replace the file /usr/share/webmin/net/save_bifc.cgi with the one attached to this bug report.
