I've seen this Webmin error before, when the YUM cache gets corrupted somehow.
The fix is to run :
yum clean all
yum install webmin usermin
which I have done on your system.
What is the AWstats error message you are seeing?
Thank you very much.
here is the error for awstats
Failed to save enabled features : The plugin AWstats reporting cannot be used : The AWstats command /usr/share/awstats/wwwroot/cgi-bin/awstats.pl was not found on your system.
THIS IS AN URGENT ISSUE AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT NOW.

Also, the awstats problem was caused by the awstats package being upgraded to the 6.9-2.el5.rf DAG version, which uses different paths. I downgraded your system to the 6.8-1.el5 version that we supply, and all is well now..

Sorry, you're right .. https isn't needed.
That looks like a network error to me. If you can login OK, and I can, it doesn't look like a problem with the system.
Thanks for fixing awstats and testing webmin for me.
so it is a problem wih his internet connection - is that what you mean.
if that is right, i can breathe now.
