I would like to install more than one copy of a program that will create a db.

When it comes to seeting up the db, there are 2 choices for the name: domain domain_program name

Assuming there is already one package using 'db_domain' and the first install of the pack I want twice using 'domain_program name', how can I proceed?

doh!

add a new database and it will pop up in the selection list.

This makes me wonder that could this be a little dangerous? Could someone overwrite a db whilst not thinking?

Well, there's generally an option with Install Scripts that will generate a new database when you perform the install.

If you're not seeing an option like that for a second program, that may be a bug, you might consider filing a bug report for that.
