What is Apache mode for PHP "CGI WRAPPER"

The help is sort of confusing. It says it will also run a server owner, just like FCGid does.

So, is it merely running the PHP code and starting up PHP each time as opposed to a waiting mod_fcgid process? Is that the difference?

It would be the same security then, right?

Yes.
