How can I update AWStats to the newest version? I'm using Ubuntu Hardy, there is only version 6.7 in the repositories... So it looks like I have to do it manually... Any inputs?
Thanks!
I don't see it in the backports repo. The link you provided is the updates repo with a security fix to awstats.
So I will have a look at manually updating it...
Well, the awstats package comes from the Ubuntu repository.
So your options are:
1. Wait for Ubuntu to release a newer one
2. See if it's available in the Ubuntu backports repository: http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=awstats&searchon=names&am...
3. Install it manually (perhaps by creating a .deb for it)
Those are in order of preference I think... since it's available in the backports, that might do the trick.

Oops, sorry about that, I knew I was clicking too fast :-)
But yeah, if you want a more recent version and it's not available in the main or backports repo, a manual install is probably a good direction.
