Bind and Apache Module Config Parms Deleted

This is strange. I was attempting to install an SSL certificate from GoDaddy in Webmin Config. Suffice to say it didn't take (my mistake), but somehow during the process my Apache Module Config and Bind Config files were deleted even though named and httpd were both running without incident. I reconfigured both modules and all is fine, I hope.

How does a failed SSL certificate installation delete the parms in both of the webmin module config files?

did it also delete the log files? cause that's the most likely place to find an answer

No idea. Never seen it or heard of it happening. But, we'd obviously be keen to know how it happened, too. ;-)

If you remember roughly the steps you took to get there, I could try to reproduce it on a test system.

Gonna be tough recreating my steps. Checked the logs per Ronald's suggestion and found nothing of significance. If you have any tips that would help.

I was first setting up the certificate authority and thought I placed everything were it should be. I did move the .pem's to /root/SSLKEys (made this to keep track) and set the path to find them correctly. Couldn't get back into Webmin to I did a server restart. Saw that Apache wasn't running according to System Information screen but Running Processes showed http running. Also found this is miniserv.error:

Error: <pre> -d :
sh: -d: command not found

Went to Apache module and reset the Module Config options. Just this morning I found the same problem with Bind. All options were blank so I reconfigured.

Hope this helps, thanks again
