where are emails on server

hi,

do you guys know where the emails get stored when they are on server? like which dir?

i'm using Ubuntu 8.04

By default, emails go into the Mailbox directory within the users homedir.

You'll see a "new" and "cur" directory in there, representing the users inbox -- there's also a series of hidden directories, all beginning with a ".", for additional mail folders (such as .spam, .sent, etc).
