Hey Jamie,
Looks like on Debian, Ubuntu, and I seem to recall SUSE, the file we actually want for a the template file is /etc/awstats/awstats.conf, rather than awstats.model.conf.
This isn't configurable in config, as far as I can tell, so I'll have to hand it off to you to fix. Probably just an either/or thing is safe...we just need it for a template. Hopefully either one is reasonably complete.
