Howdy,
Hrm... unfortunately, the log output there doesn't provide what went wrong. Do you see any additional information or errors in the installation log, at /root/virtualmin-install.log ?
Thanks,
-Eric
Looks like it couldn't find libapache2-mod-ruby
Looks like the script is meant to bring it's own apt entries/repos.

Hrm. It should be able to pull that mod_ruby package from the Ubuntu repository.
Can you try running the install again? I've seen more than one occasion where it hiccuped and was unable to see a package during the install, but worked fine in a few minutes.
If that doesn't work, I'll ping Joe to get his thoughts :-)

I've enabled 'universe' as well. Does this look right? Do I need Multiverse or Restricted?
----------------------------
Virtual Dedicated Server initial sources.list:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy main
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy-security main
I manually added the 'univers lines' and virtualmin added the last line so now it's:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy main
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy-security main
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy universe
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy-updates universe
deb http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/ubuntu/ virtualmin-hardy main
Yes, you absolutely have to have "universe" enabled (I'm sure this is mentioned in the install docs, but I'll add a note to the OS support list, as well, to maybe make it more obvious).
