apache aliasing under Virtualmin

I am hoping to use the Alias directive in apache configuration. I have a few sites that I have setup with Virtualmin and I need them to have access to the same set of php scripts. I was hoping to put these scripts in their own folder under the /home directory. Right now I can get aliasing to work as long as the folder is put in the public_html foldes but obviously this is not what I want.

Any idea how to setup aliasing to a folder outside of all of the public_html folders? Also how do you permissions need to be setup as well.
