I installed a new LAMP Centos 5.1 server and Virtualmin Pro. One of my PHP applications is not working and here is what they sent me as a response. Any suggestions on why this would not be set in my Virtualmin Pro environment? I will send the PHP Info as well.
Your server is not reporting any of the following:
_SERVER[PATH_TRANSLATED] _SERVER[SCRIPT_FILENAME] _SERVER[ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED]
The first 2 are set but are set to "no value" according to the phpinfo you supplied, and that last one is typically only used on Windows IIS servers. The license validation tries it's best to work with what it can, but it at least needs one of those to be set in order to figure out what the installation directory is.
This is actually the first I've ever seen a server where none of those system variables are set in PHP, the only thing I can think of is maybe you have some custom apache/IIS configuration or PHP build. Once you get your configuration to report any 1 of those three server variables, the license detection should start working correctly. Let me know when you get it working, and let me know what the "license information" is (the exact same info you sent before, but with the directory set), and I will be able to update the license for you.

I think it has to do with FCGI and Suexec pointing to /home directory and not /var/www/html
for example, I was trying to install whois.cart and it couldn't because of this exact "error" from your first post.
Then Joe advice me to switch to mod_php and that solved the case.
I can't recall exactly what Joe explained but I recall it had to do with fcgi&Suexec and the way virtualmin puts 1+1 together.
I know it doesn't help much but at least you were not alone in this :)
Ok, that fixed it all up.
What is the difference between the three?
I used the CGI and it worked.
Apache mod_php (run as Apache's user)
CGI wrapper (run as virtual server owner)
FCGId (run as virtual server owner)
