yum

i see people talking about doing yum installs so i was wondering if there is a repository for webmin and virtualmin anywhere. because i am not seeing it when i do a yum search.

Yes. When you use the automated Virtualmin installation script it sets up two yum repositories--a binary repo specific to your OS/version, and a universal repo for the pure-Perl packages (Webmin, Virtualmin, Usermin, and all of the Virtualmin modules and themes).

The pure-Perl repo of the Open Source products is usable by any OS that has yum, and is here:

http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/universal/

The pure-Perl repo for Virtualmin Professional is here:

http://software.virtualmin.com/universal/

This one is password protected and requires a valid serial number and license key to be filled in the username and password sections of the URL.

The binary repos should only be used by the OS/version they are built for, and so I won't mention those, as they're mostly useful for folks installing fresh on one of the supported platforms (and you'd be using install.sh for that).
