Hello,
I had read about the supported systems before purchasing and it says gentoo was supported. However, I am not able to install Virtualmin on Gentoo. Here is what i get:
Checking for curl or wget...found /usr/bin/curl -s -O Checking for perl...found /usr/bin/perl Loading log4sh logging library... INFO - Started installation log in virtualmin-install.log INFO - Checking for fully qualified hostname... INFO - Hostname OK: fully qualified as dac.turnic.co.uk INFO - Installing serial number and license key into /etc/virtualmin-license INFO - Loading OS selection library... INFO - Operating system name: Gentoo Linux INFO - Operating system version: Any version INFO - Installing virtualmin-release package for Gentoo Linux Any version... INFO - Your OS is not currently supported by this installer. INFO - You may be able to run Virtualmin Professional on your system, anyway, INFO - but you'll have to install it using the manual installation process. INFO - Refer to Chapter 2 of the Virtualmin Administrator's Guide for more INFO - information. You may also wish to open a customer support issue so INFO - that we can guide you through the process--depending on your needs INFO - and environment, it can be rather complex. INFO - INFO - Attempting to trick this automatic installation script into running INFO - is almost certainly a really bad idea. Platform support requires INFO - numerous custom binary executables. Those packages will almost INFO - certainly fail to run, or worse, on any platform other than the one INFO - they were built for.
How I am going to solve this.
Thanks TurNIC
Gentoo is not supported, nor is it listed as an OS supported by our installer. This page lists all of the systems supported by our installer, as well as those that are know to work well if you install manually:
http://www.virtualmin.com/os-support.html
There are a number of users using Virtualmin on Gentoo, but we are unable to support it at this time because we have no experience with it and so would be "blind leading the blind".

BTW-If manual installation is a problem for you, we're always happy to issue a full refund. We don't expect to fully support Gentoo in the near future, as it is far less popular among our users than other systems that we're working on supporting, like FreeBSD. It will be supported eventually, assuming it continues to grow in popularity, but it is not a high priority for us.

You can install it on gentoo but you have to do it manually.
First install webmin from the tarball then install virtualmin GPL from the wbm file --> http://download.webmin.com/download/virtualmin/virtual-server-3.522.gpl....
Then upgrade to the pro version within VM GPL.
This isn't for the weak hearted so if anything manual scares you hire someone, like me, to install this for you.
