Hello everyone :) i have a problem with outlook :(

After setting up Virtualmin Pro fantastically with absolutly no problems and checking everything worked i was happy..

edit: including usermin send/recieve

But when i tried to connect to the mailserver via outlook everything seems to work over plain-text login, when i click 'test account details' in account setup but then i do 'send/recieve' send works recieve doesent.

i get this error;

! Task 'domain.com - Recieving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Hello all - Just an update ive managed to fix the recieving email problem changing the following setting

<div class='quote'>UIDL format

UIDLs are used by POP3 clients to keep track of what messages they've downloaded, typically only if you've enabled &quot;keep messages in server&quot; option. If the UIDL changes, the existing messages are re-downloaded as new messages, which the users don't really appreciate.

Dovecot supports multiple different ways to set the UIDL format, mostly to make migrations from other POP3 servers transparent by preserving the old UIDL values. See Migration for how to set the UIDLs to be compatible with your previous POP3 server.

For new POP3 servers, the easiest way to set up UIDLs is to use IMAP's UIDVALIDITY and UID values. The default for future Dovecot versions will be:

[code:1]pop3_uidl_format = %08Xu%08Xv[/code:1]

Some formats, such as the previous default %v.%u, seem to have problems with Outlook 2003.&quot;
</div>

I had a look round in the webmin dovecot configuration and none the less i found it here:

webmin -&gt; servers -&gt; Mail Files

UIDL format - i set this to &quot;courier 2&quot; in the drop down box and all is well :)

other sources suggested this was norton or another antivirus/mail checker service problem but none of that is running

hope this helps anyone having the same problem as me
