I have a lean install of debain etch and am going to use the install script.
sources.list is: deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian etch main contrib non-free deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian etch main contrib non-free
last time i did this afterword almost everything worked but things like php5-mysql were missing. How do I ensure nothing will be missing and I will be good to go. Last time i almost made it to a successful install but the php pages still didn't show after the apt-get install php5-mysql. Maybe other stuff was left out?
Is there anything in addition to the script that needs to be done after the install. Otherwise I assume if I create a site and database install for example phpbb everything should work, last time it didn't.
and advise would be great!

okay i install it again and same problem....
phpBB3 installed perfectly and wrote everything to database, but when i try to view site index.php nothing appears... no errors just blank website.
html works
mysql wrote the table so i think that works...
php might be the problem. using php5 i think

hi, just wondering if you've found a solution for this yet please?
i've just got PHP Version 5.2.0-8+etch9 on a nice clean new server, mysql was installed but phpbb3 didn't show up mysql in the requirements so tried apt-get install php-mysql and mysql then showed up.. but i'm getting just white pages too :(
What's in the error_log for this virtual server when you try to view the app?
