Failed to fetch webmin-virtualmin-svn_3.2_all.deb

I get this error when trying to install via install script:

Failed to fetch http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/debian/dists/virtualmin-etch/main/bin... Size mismatch

Yesterday I was able to install it and got it working with no errors...

Then today I tried a fresh install, and for several times got the same error.

Any ideas?

I'm a new cusotmer, I am really inpressed, but I also this error when I try to install.

Failed to fetch http://5555774:********@software.virtualmin.com/debian/dists/virtualmin-... Size mismatch

I have taken out the password...hence the stars!

Can this be fixed please?

well, first of all, I must say that there's something wrong with the forum login system...

I had to login with both firefox and IE about ten times just to be able to write a reply...

About the problem, it seems like the debian package has been recently changed. I don't know how the size check is made, but it probably isn't updated with the latest file size...I don't know if there's a way of installing by ignoring size checks...

ah forum problems he... I have no problem using IE7, but I wish I could change my forum name, so people don't see my email, got enough spam allready :-)

Regarding the file mismatch I'll have a look at the apt database tommorrow, see if we can manipulate it and change it to be the same size as the download.

I promised my client to have this server up and runing by Friday, and I was hopping this install would save me some time. Don't really want to install the GPL again and I'm looking forward to see the extras the Pro version has to offer.

Anyway, thanks for your reply, at least we know what the problem is!

I am not sure if the problem is what I mentioned, but it seems to be...

By the way, I am installing the GPL version of virtualmin, not the pro one...

Try to remove the apt cache in /var/lib/apt/lists and run apt-get update. It worked for me...

Hey guys,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I skipped a step when rolling out the latest bunch of updates. It's fixed now, and running "apt-get update" should resolve any issues (probably...if not, an "apt-get clean" might be needed).

Now it worked ! Refreshed packages again, I think now they updated file size or something so it fit the Size match and then the installation succeeded.
