I use this in cases where PHPmyadmin is not working or possible but DATABASE acces is possible.
( For Virtualmin install Adminer is much more simple to use , and have some customized for users... )
Then together with Directory protection where the files are , and also some other as ip or whatever in htaccess or vhosts
