Mysql database failed in mariadb

after recent mariadb update i am unable to create database login.

Creating MySQL login .. .. MySQL database failed! : mysql::execute_sql_logged failed : SQL insert into user (host, user, ssl_type, ssl_cipher, x509_issuer, x509_subject) values ('localhost', 'wdc', '', '', '', '') failed : Field 'authentication_string' doesn't have a default value at /usr/share/webmin/web-lib-funcs.pl line 1477.

OS : Ubuntu Linux 16.04.5

Daatabase : MariaDB-10.2.27 and 10.3.18

virtualmin: 6.07

existing server works fine with database even backup feature can dump mysql properly
