Just curious what people's thoughts are about using Nginx over apache.
One of the reasons behind moving to Virtualmin from Cpanel is so we have this as an option.
Search the forum... somewhere recently I found a reference to nginx and a comment that some Wordpress plugins don't play too well with it. It was also suggested in the same place that you could benefit by running nginx as a front end with Apache2 handling PHP, but I wouldn't know how to do that!
I am running Apache2 with PHP-FPM and while I'm not an expert I believe that this gives a performance advantage over the default mpm_prefork Apache2 installation, similar to that you would get with nginx. Its memory footprint in on-demand mode is certainly impressively low.
