Currently webmin/virtualmin use as client for LDAP the NSLCD and to manage LDAP users and groups nss_ldap, but modern linux versions are using SSSD to integrate with LDAP, AD, or any other IDP at Operating System level. When you will update the webmin and virtualmin to use this?

If you do have SSSD setup, this should just work already. What goes wrong exactly?
The module LDAP Client install and configure the old and bugged nscd and nslcd, both substituited by sssd.

Ok, sounds like we need some work to use SSSD instead. Which Linux distro and version are you running there?

Jamie, it looks like they're using CentOS 7.
Jamie and Andrey, I´m using with virtualmin pro a Oracle Linux 7, which use the same packages from Red Hat 7.
I tryed this with CentOS 7 too (with virtualmin gpl), all three use the same packages with very few diferences.
