I'm using Virtualmin 6.03/Webmin 1.910 on a Ubuntu 14.04.3 VPS. I would like start using the latest 6.06 Virtualmin.
The Virtualmin dashboard doesn't offer any way to upgrade, and some of the articles I've seen in the forum give dire warnings about certain scripts that can only be used once, etc.
My question: What's the "official" way to upgrade Virtualmin on an Ubuntu box? Many thanks!

Howdy,
Virtualmin is just a .deb package (or .rpm on CentOS)... so to update it, you can just run "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" on the command line as root.

I don't remember how I installed virtualmin - but I don't think I used apt-get. (
apt list --installed
doesn't show any packages with "virtual" in the name.)I know I installed Webmin first, then (a long time later) installed Virtualmin, possibly using the script described on the web page. But I have no clear memory of how it got installed. What advice can you give me for updating? Thanks.
