Fedora 7

Just wanted to see how the Fedora 7 version was coming along. I just set up a new server and hardware wise FC 7 was more compatable than FC6.

Thanks for the update.

I think maybe it's done. But I haven't tested it yet (like, at all). I'm trying to get a bunch of little bugs fixed on the officially supported platforms at the moment, but maybe I can give it a run tomorrow. You're welcome to try it and post what blows up (just be sure to sanitize the serial number and license key out of anything you post...I don't need to see all of the output...just the obvious errors).

With F7, you'll need to enable the Everything repository--now that extras has become a sort of "universe" repository, we're using it directly rather than importing the packages we want. Stuff like the Perl modules and clam, and such, are all already in Everything.

Anyway, everybody just has to have their favorite distribution, and it's driving me batty. (The single largest part of my development time is spent working out compatibility issues on various operating systems.) ;-)

How do I enable the "Everything repository", I'll give it a whirl.

I'm setting up a new server for my father-in-laws ministry and been using VM on my other server and knew VM was the best thing to use... I just didn't read too far into FC 7 not 100% yet.

Thanks for an awesome product!!!

INFO - ...in progress, please wait... |Error: Missing Dependency: procmail-wrapper is needed by package virtualmin-base ...in progress, please wait... failed. Error (if any): 0

I did a search for procmail-wrapper but couldn't find anything
fyi, its FC7 - 64bit

Sweet, install.sh finished with 2 little blips,

INFO - Disabling SELinux during installation...
/usr/sbin/setenforce: SELinux is disabled
INFO - setenforce 0 failed: 1

I allready had SELinux disabled though

Failed to setup PostgreSQL! \Failed to start PostgreSQL!

not a issue for me at this time.

INFO - Installation of virtualmin-base completed.

I got this error though doing the transitions checks from the web page:

The ClamAV program clamscan does not appear to be working properly :

LibClamAV Error: cli_loaddb(): No supported database files found in /var/lib/clamav/daily.inc
ERROR: Not supported data format

any good ideas?

The status of your system is being checked to ensure that all enabled features are available, that the mail server is properly configured, and that quotas are active ..

BIND DNS server is installed, and the system is configured to use it.

Mail server Postfix is installed and configured.

Apache is installed.

Webalizer is installed.

Apache is configured to host SSL websites.

MySQL is installed and running.

ProFTPd is installed.

Logrotate is installed.

SpamAssassin and Procmail are installed and configured for use.

The System and Server Status module is installed and checking on schedule.

Plugin AWstats reporting is installed OK.

Plugin DAV Login is installed OK.

Plugin Mailman is installed OK.

Plugin Protected web directories is installed OK.

Using network interface eth0 for virtual IPs.

Default IP address for virtual servers is 24.xxxxxxxx

Both user and group quotas are enabled for home and email directories.

All commands needed to create and restore backups are installed.

.. your system is ready for use by Virtualmin.

If i disable virus scanning, this all passes.

The Fedora ClamAV packages suck, but it's easy to fix. Just run freshclam as root, and all will be well.
