someone did something silly and created a virtual server named www.domain.com
now every new virtualserver administrator is added to the "www" group instead of the www-data group and the website for the new virtualserver is not working 'cause www is not allowed to read public_html.
(Permission denied: /home/name4/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable)
deleting the bad virtualserver and recreating the new virtualserver solves all.

Ooh, that's awful! We'll get that fixed. ;-)

Yeah, I can see how this can happen - a fix for it will be in Virtualmin 3.47 or 3.48. A *domain* starting with www simply doesn't make any sense.

Doesn't make sense, but I have seen it happen times on cpanel servers. I've got a reseller who has a few users named wwwdomai. 3:â
"now every new virtualserver administrator is added to the "www" group instead of the www-data group"
should off course be
"now user www instead of user www-data is added to the new virtualserver group"
