I'm a proud subscriber of my own VPS account for the first time, and I decided to go for Virtualmin - which I have not regretted. It's versatile and it's now very easy to manage my system. Thanks for that!
Everything works fine except for one small annoyance. When logging in to Virtualmin and checking the system information it reports MySQL server as not started. I sure can tell it's started, because everything works as it should and the mysqld daemon us running properly. When clicking "Start MySQL" I get a strange error message:
Failed to start service : Failed to query Postfix config command to get the current value of parameter queue_directory:Ok, so it's not a big deal as everything still works as it should, but it would be nice to know if I could fix it somehow.
Rebooting may occasionally solve the problem, but it reoccurs every so often.
I have a 256 MB VPS and Virtualmin reports the system using about 150 MB, so it shouldn't be related to memory allocation problems as suggested at other places in this forum.

That'd be a bug. ;-)
But, as far as why it's not showing running, it's probably a pid misconfiguration in the Webmin MySQL module. Try browsing to the MySQL module and checking to be sure it knows whether MySQL is running, and if not, edit the Module Config to point to the correct location for the MySQL PID file.

This makes me think it's something other than a misconfiguration--it should always show incorrectly if it's wrong. Not sure what to make of it.

The path to the PID file is correct, and everything seems correctly configured in the module.
But it's not a big deal anyway. It still works.
