virtualmin vs vps

Virtualmin does not manage virtualized systems. Virtualmin is a shared virtual hosting control panel. Every account gets a UNIX user, and can manage their own website, scripts, mailboxes, etc. but they do not get a "root" level account, and the system does not appear to be "dedicated", though users do get a very high level of customization capability (more than any other control panel--every user gets their own php.ini for both versions of PHP, they can spawn Ruby on Rails instances, they have access to their logs so they can run alternate analysis tools, etc.).

We have a new product in development called VM2 (Virtualmin Machine Manager), which manages virtualized servers of many types (EC2, Solaris Zones, Xen, and Linux vservers).

With VM2 the answers to your questions are:

As many as will reasonably fit on your system. There is also a master server version, which can manage virtualized systems on many other systems.

Virtualmin Professional, of course! One version of VM2 will include Virtualmin licenses, while the Master Server version will not. When VM2 launches we will begin offering licenses of Virtualmin that are discounted from the regular price, for use on VM2 VPS systems.

3. can i allot RAM size for vps users, as well for HDD and bandwidth

RAM and HD: Yes, depending on the virtualization layer and type.
Bandwidth: We currently only manage this at the Virtualmin layer. It will be added to VM2 in the not distant future.

VM2 will enter public beta in a week or two (it's in the hands of a few private beta testers, with a few more starting this coming week...we're working out the bugs and confusing bits now).

BTW-Where did you get the idea that Virtualmin Professional managed virtualized systems? I'd like to make sure whatever materials on the site led you to that conclusion are made more clear.
