Changing server password forbids the website

Hello again.

I've been looking around for a fix for my problem but no luck yet, so here I am.

I've got a VirtMin 3.40 PRO install and I'm having a problem with changing the server owner passwords. When I do the website goes 403 and this shows up in the apache_errorlog: code:1Permission denied: /home/urldeletedforprivacy/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable[/code:1] Problem that stumps the heck out of me is that this file is not there, I can create it but it doesn't help the problem.

The domain in question was imported from an older VM 1.x install, no problems importing, I'm not sure if that has any thing to do with it. And we're only working on the master-admin ACL, the OS is Ubuntu 6.06

Has anyone else run across this problem before and/or know of where I can find more info relating to the problem.

Thanks, Erik

Bug: Website becomes inaccessible after password change
Solution: Install latest virtualmin update and/or chmod affected directories (see below)

You can fix the problem with:

chmod 750 /home/domainname
