How can I see if phpMyAdmin is installed. How to install for all virtual servers or each time per server?

Hello, I created my 3rd virtual server, which is using WordPress. The WordPress install requires a database. I need to check if phpMyAdmin is installed on Virtualmin. Is phpMyAdmin the database to manager all or each virtual server.

Some basics like loading the phpMyAdmin webpage says page doesn't load.

well, well well, really? - how extra ordinary is this - did you check your main website/phpmyadmin? did you install php my admin your self via virtualmin or your self? - well well well - the question risen is - do you know what you doing? - its all covered in documentation..

Hi, I tried Virtualmin IRC the last few days, but it's not yet solved. Yes, installed via Virtualmin GUI.

well,

@unborn your posts are really helpful, i admit.

i don't know how others manage that, but i decided to register a domain like server-administration.com or the like and point a subdomain each to my servers.

like this: server01.server-administration.com This one i create as a virtual server on my VPS. then i use the installationscripts of virtualmin to install webmail, phpmyadmin and the like.

So i have only one installation to take care of and for my clients it doesn't matter whether they enter server01.server-administration.com to access phpmyadmin or whether they enter their domain.com/phpmyadmin.

I haven't used the isntall scrpt for a while, so i do not know, whether i can change the installation folder name in the meanwhile, would be great, to make sure, the usual guys trying to hack in to the standard installation folder don't find a target

Best j_m PS: If you have a a look at the /home/yourdomainname/public_html folder, you should find your phpmyadmin installation.

Hi, how I do it is I have one domain example.co.uk which I am using as 'main domain' for accessing my virtualmin cp. All I've done I did install only one instance of phpmyadmin, set configuration to force ssl only option for phpmyadmin. When user whats to manage his dbs all he need to do is go to that domain eg: example.co.uk/phpmyadmin or example.co.uk/pma and that is it. No need to install multiple instances. Just one on central location would do. User would log into his dbs with his username and db password or as per db. I think this is quiet simple and only one instance you would need to keep eye only for updating script it self ;)
