[SOLVED] New Virtual Server points to /var/www/html instead of /home/SITENAME/public_html

i am the new kid around here.

I created a new Virtual Server on a freshly installed Debian 8.0 Virtualmin Instance.

When i browse to SITENAME.com i see the default Apache2 index page in /var/www/html.

The directory /home/SITENAME/public_html is there and i even put a simple index.html in it. But it is not shown when i browse to my domain.

Most probably it is a really stupid error on my end. To behonest: i am not the most skilled guy in this kinda things. But i want to learn. So any hints and help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, roland

EDIT: The Website Troubleshooting (https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/web/troubleshooting) got me in the right direction: when creating the new virtual server i had to put in the real IP-address from my vps. before there where selectet by default.
