We'v been using webmin for years, and currently have several identical servers running webmin on CentOS7. However in a piece of oddness we've never seen happen before, one is stubbornly refusing to display the correct IP in the "Hostname" line at the top of System Info Homepage. Instead it's dispaying the lo address (127.0.0.1) instead of the eth0 address which I'd expect to see there. Anyone give me any pointers as to why / how to fix? Thanks!
Hi,
To correct this go to:
Webmin > Networking > Network Configuration > Host Addresses
If your "hostname" appears in the "127.0.0.1" entry, then edit the entry and remove your server's hostname.
Create a new entry by clicking
Add a new host address
then enter your public IP address, along with your server's hostname.I hope this helps.
