Install Scripts with MariaDB

How can I use Install Scripts with MariaDB instead MySQL ?

When I try to install something I got

This script cannot be installed, as this virtual server does not meet its requirements : A MySQL database is needed

Thanks.

@duard :) The easiest way that I know of to install Virtualmin with MariaDB is to simply choose a Linux distribution and version which comes with MariaDB by default. Such as Debian 9 Stretch.

Steps

  1. Install a fresh new Debian 9 Stretch
  2. Install Virtualmin. Virtualmin will automatically be configure for MariaDB. Because Debian 9 Stretch comes with MariaDB by default.
  3. Done. Easy. Enjoy :)

For those note familiar with MariaDB, some of the benefits you get are listed at https://www.virtualmin.com/comment/797061#comment-797061
