HI All,
I am trying to find out if Virtualmin can store all domain and user data and configurations into MYSQL instead of using config files similar to Plesk where Plesk control panel stores all configuration into MYSQL DB.
We are setting up Nginx Apache cluster with cluster file system to cluster Apache and Nginx configuration files across all Apache hosts we using ldap to store users and emails for mail ftp etc we have two front end Virtualmin panels for end users we planned to use cluster file system to cluster /etc/webmin & /var/lib/webmin then we thought it might be easier to attach the two Virtualmin front ends to MySQL backend DB just thinking out loud.
Many thanks
Hi,
Virtualmin uses configuration files, and in many cases interacts directly with the system's native configuration files. This was a design decision when the product was developed in order to be less proprietary which is what Plesk is quite a bit.
