Restoring a vhost snapshot doesn't really restore directory as they were

Hello, today I made a a virtual server backup, i created a directory (wordpress uploads subdirectory), then decided to rollback to the previous state by restoring the backup. To my surprise, the newly created directory was still there, did i miss something?

...what are you asking mate, you did backup and then restore right? you should not miss anything....

Configuring/troubleshooting Debian servers is always great fun
