Hello all,
I bought 2 Comodo Essential SSL for 2 of my clients, running on 2 different Webmin servers last version with all updates Operating system=CentOS Linux 7.3.1611, Webmin version=1.831, Virtualmin version=5.07
I have followed instructions from https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/tutorial/how-to-add-an-ssl-cert...
1, I created the CSR files from Server Configuration - Create Signing Request (Filled in the data needed) - Generate CSR Now
I've installed the CA send to me by Comodo from Server Configuration - Update Certificate and Key (pasted correct both Signed SSL certificate, Matching private key) - Install Now
I also created a new DigiCertCA.crt following instructions from http://howtodoit.eu/install-comodo-ssl-certificate-webmin-virtualmin-web... and then Server Configuration - CA Certificate - (loaded correct CA certificate file) - Save Certificate
Server Configuration - Current Certificate - Copy to Webmin
Thought that this should be it
BUT
on Server Configuration - Current Certificate i have: SSL certificate file /home/solcore/ssl.cert SSL private key file /home/solcore/ssl.key Web server hostname www.solcore.eu Issuer name COMODO RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA Issuer organization COMODO CA Limited Expiry date May 9 23:59:59 2018 GMT Certificate type Signed by CA Other domain names www.solcore.eu | solcore.eu
and on Server Configuration - CA Certificate i also have Certificate authority name www.solcore.eu Issuer name COMODO RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA Issuer organization COMODO CA Limited Expiry date May 9 23:59:59 2018 GMT Certificate type Signed by CA
Someone please help, i have to install Comodo Essentials to almost 5 more sites on different Webmin installation each.
Regards George
HI, just checked your site (https://www.solcore.eu/) from my google and its said its secured means ssl works.
Configuring/troubleshooting Debian servers is always great fun
Thanks for your reply
You managed to reply before i post the solution i found after many hours of searching and testing
Best regards George
After many hours of reading and testing, I managed to fix the problem
All my Webmin server have --> System hostname = domain name (for the case solcore.eu)
I renamed System hostname to something different. ex xxx.solcore.eu and then restarted Webmin and magically all started to work as supposed to be working
This problem also happens with Webmin's embed Let's Encrypt CA
Best regards George
