Hello. Im running virtualmin on Centos 6.6 for some time now. Im now getting worried about Package updates that virtualmin is showing me. Im constantley updating those features that apply to virtualmin itself (bind, openssl, webmin, virtualmin) but im not touching less important updates (yum update). I renember when i started using virtualmin something broke down while I was updating all minot things so after reinstall I havent really made any updates.
What do you thing, should I try and update everything? Here are all the updates available - https://justpaste.it/140zx
If you dont have any additional repos enables you should update everything from that list and not only Vmin related. All those updates will bring some better functionality and what is more important security patches, so leaving them to hang around isnt smart idea.
In case you have enabled some additional repos then you must pay attention to what are you going to update. In this case disable any non-standard repo and make full update. Once done enable those repos and check again if there is any update left, but this time you must pick and choose to not install something what could cause instability or even crash of your system.
