Git on Virtualmin: path problem

I installed Virtualmin using the auto-install script on Ubuntu 14.04 and Git following documentation instructions (https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/web/git).

After creating a repository, directories and files on the filesystem are as expected, but I cannot reach it with the suggest URL http://demo.domain.com/git/project.git (404 Not Found). The correct URL is http://demo.domain.com//git/gitweb.cgi?p=project.git.

So I have error when I try to connect to this repository from my computer.

I would like to know if there is some configuration to adjust.

I would like know if it is a Virtualmin bug or a problem caused by a lack of configuration.
