Strange (non-html) Entities on Firefox VM tab...

hi People, seems I can't upload a screen-shot to demo this, but I'm administering a couple of webmin servers. this problem only happens on the one server running the "Authentic" theme. It's the "logo" or "title tag" that appears in the TAB at the top of Firefox browser. On my one server running the default theme, it says on the tab, "Virtualmin 5.04 gpi o..." No problem. On the other tab, running the "Authentic Theme", it says "Virtualmin", then two odd greek-looking non-Roman symbols, (like a little "a" with an accent over it, and a funny "E", like this †)... then a 'W" (probably the start of Webmin).

Don't really want to mess with changing the theme on this one. Last time I did that It totally screwed up my server access! Just wanted (I guess) to let the makers of the "Authentic" theme (which I like BTW), that their coding for the TAB ID at the top of your browser is screwed up.

That's it!

Switch your preferred language to EN(UTF-8) in Webmin->Webmin->Webmin Configuration->Language (this sets it as the system-wide default; if you use the Change Language and Theme module, you'll also need to set it there).

This comes from Ilia using some Unicode characters in some places which leads to weirdness on non-Unicode character sets. In the not terribly distant future, we will go all Unicode in Webmin, and this problem will become impossible (but it's already just a configuration issue and easily resolved, as Webmin has had Unicode support for many years).

Thanks Joe, that did the trick! Looks like the symbol in question (now that it's appearing correctly) is what we code as "m-dash" (long dash) in HTML. Instead of using the html coding (—), they likely just pasted " —" it right in.

anyway, problem solved, much appreciated! :)
