Hi! I've been using CentOS 6 for a while and iptables with it. Now I'm trying to set up a CentOS7 server and use firewalld for managing my firewall rules, but it doesn't seem to agree with Webmin really good... Has anybody had any experience with this? For example setting a firewall rule to enable a certain port for only a certain ip, through Webmin interface it doesn't seem to be possible? And when I add a rule for example to accept connections from a certain IP via console, I can see the new rule in the zone .xml file, but not in Webmin interface?
If somebody could give me few words of advice that would be great!
Thank you
We just disable firewalld and use iptables instead on our servers - it lets us treat the 6 and 7 servers in a more consistent way. The Google will give you a lot of info on how to do that on CentOS 7.
But that's up to you. Certainly Firewalld works
