Backup failes with sh: 1: cannot create /home/xxxxxxx/domains/xxxxxxxxxx.com/.backup/xxxxxxxxxx.com_mysql_xxxxxxxx: Permission

I am trying to run backups however I am getting the following error when it comes to the mysql databases. I am at a complete loss and need to move these domains today. I have checked permissions the are 777 I have checked ownership and it says that root owns the direction .backup I have checked all the other logs surrounding virtualmin, however nothing is pointing me to the cause of the issue.

Howdy,

Hmm, so does the .backup directory currently exist?

If so, try removing it, and allow it to be re-created during the backup process. Does it work in that case?

If not, do you perhaps have SELinux enabled? If so, try disabling that, and then see if that helps.
