500 internal server error from web

Hi there

I'm attempting to make a index of /(folder)/ folder for everyone to download stuff but im stuck with you don't permission access to the folder in this server. but after a few attempts on fixing up the settings went to 500 internal server error. Kept on giving me this everytime i go in it (looked at the error log) :

AH00125: Request exceeded the limit of 10 subrequest nesting levels due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace.

then i went to do a re-check:

BIND DNS server is installed, and the system is configured to use it.

Mail server Postfix is installed and configured.

Postfix can support per-domain outgoing IP addresses, but is not currently configured to do so. This can be setup in the Postfix Mailserver module.

Apache is installed.

The following PHP versions are available : 5.4.16 (/bin/php-cgi)

Webalizer is installed.

Apache is configured to host SSL websites.

MySQL is installed and running.

ProFTPD is installed.

Logrotate is installed.

SpamAssassin and Procmail are installed and configured for use.

ClamAV is installed and assumed to be running.

Plugin DAV Login is installed OK.

Plugin AWstats reporting is installed OK.

Plugin Protected web directories is installed OK.

Using network interface eth0 for virtual IPs.

IPv6 addresses are available, using interface eth0.

Default IPv4 address for virtual servers is 103.1.206.190.

Default IPv6 address for virtual servers is 2400:c400:1002:11:0fed:bee0:32c2:8dc7.

Default IP address is set to 103.1.206.190, which matches the detected external address.

Both user and group quotas are enabled for home and email directories.

All commands needed to create and restore backups are installed.

The selected package management and update systems are installed OK.

.. your system is ready for use by Virtualmin.

I'm using vps with centos 7

I don't think we have the information we need to resolve this one.

What do you mean by "attempting to make a index of /(folder)/ folder for everyone to download stuff"?

The error you're getting indicates a redirect loop (which means a redirect to the same page), which would either come from a program (like PHP or whatever) or from Apache configuration...but Virtualmin doesn't configure any redirects without being told to do so. Do you have an .htaccess file in that directory? Did you create a redirect rule? Did you install or write an application in that directory?
