postfix flush does not work

So the background is that i wanted to test out the fail2ban email trigger when a ssh ban would have taken place.. so that created lot of mail queue in postfix. Now i have disabled this fail2ban feature.. and have 900 odd emails in there.. so logically i wanted to deleted them.. when i tried to do this via the gui.. it initially complained that the postfix mail system was down.. but that was weird.. i then restarted the postfix server and then did it again.. this time it tried to do something.. and brought me back to the page.. but when i look at the queue the number is the same.. i have meanwhile tried to delete this via the terminal with command root@server1:~# postqueue -c /etc/postfix -f , but again it seems to do something but the queue is in there..

doing some search it seems this was an issue long long time back and it was fixed back then... is this a ghost bug ?

Damn it... flush does not mean delete :) did it with command postsuper -d ALL, nevertheless... can you provide this as a button on the postfix queue gui page, that would be so handy and useful

While it's not just one button, it is possible to delete all emails in the mail queue.

To do that, perform a search for just "." (dot) in the Webmin Mail Queue screen. That will return all emails in the queue.

Then, click the "Select All" button, and click "Delete".

Will that do what you're after?

I guess that would work, it would have been good if this was updated somewhere in the documentation.. have closed this thread.
