Hiya,
Likely a dumb question but I will ask it anyhow.
So lets say I have two Virtualmin Hosts. One is Pro and the other is GPL.
I want to run my provisioning app and some smaller support related stuff on the GPL server and I don't want to create dedicated slave dns servers for it.
So what is stopping me from creating two dns slave servers and having both the GPL and Pro host update to those.
Thus creating a two web/mysql/mail servers but using a shared pair of slave servers ??
Thanks!!
Francesca
Howdy,
Yup, you can do that! An existing Virtualmin server can be used as a slave DNS server for another system. Whether it's Pro or GPL wouldn't matter.
You'd just need to make sure that the same domain isn't added to Virtualmin on both systems, or it would conflict. That's not usually something that someone would do, but just something to keep in mind.

Hello,
Ok one last thing.
I suppose a shared database server is OK as well. Subject to unique naming conventions of course ??
Thanks!!

Hiya,
Excellent. Now I have to figure out how to get notifications from this forum when I post or someone answers.
Thanks Again!!
