i would to require smtp authectication for my users when connecting smtp server from email clients. I have other server configured this way but don't remember if i had to do something to get this working. Now, i have to uncheck "this server requires auth for outgoing server (stmp) to work". I have checked sasl aut "require sasl smtp authentication" in postfix config and "use sasl smtp authectication" but i can connect to server without auth...
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Howdy,
What happens when you connect to the server with authentication enabled?
Do you see any errors in the mail log, in /var/log/maillog or /var/log/mail.log?
